De Vere Barony Castle Hotel – 3 Star
This imposing historic hotel is located in 25 acres of tranquil gardens and
woodland, a short drive from the border town of Peebles. Inside the historic
façade, this hotel has all the facilities of a modern hotel, including full leisure
facilities with an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and mini-gym. Each
of the 78 bedrooms are well equipped with hairdryer, satellite television,
and tea/coffee making facilities. The main bar and restaurant have recently
been refurbished and make a great relaxation area and in the summer there
is additional seating outside on a terrace. There is a lift to all floors; however
some single rooms are accessed via a flight of steps.

Day One: After being picked up at home, you join our luxury touring coach
and travel northwards via the motorway network. Comfort stops are made
en-route and you arrive in Peebles early evening.
Day Two to Day Four: At leisure in Peebles with three included
excursions.
Day Five: After breakfast, you make your way southwards back to the
Island to arrive early evening.

Included Excursions: After lunch you travel towards Edinburgh, stopping
first at The Royal Yacht Britannia. Step on board and visit five of the
magnificent decks, taking you through the State Apartments and crew's
quarters and ending in the engine room.
We then have time in the historic city of Edinburgh before the evening
performance of the Tattoo.
An excursion to the David Livingstone Museum, Blantyre, where Scotland’s
most famous explorer and missionary was born in 1813. The museum tells
the story of Livingstone’s explorations in Africa and is home to a wide range
of his personal belongings and travel aids including diaries and navigational
equipment.
A full day excursion to the Falkirk Wheel where you will have an inclusive
boat trip on the Union Canal which includes a lift on the Falkirk Wheel, a
fascinating day out for all.

The Bellevue Hotel - Boppard- 4 Star
This stylish 4 star hotel is situated on the main riverside promenade and
only a stone's throw from the centre of the town. Guests can either indulge
in an aperitif in the cosy bar or relax in the hotel's recently installed leisure
centre with sauna, steam bath and indoor pool. Enjoy local specialities in
the stylish restaurant, with great views over the river. The hotel is beautifully
decorated in a "Belle Epoque" style with gilded mirrors and artwork on the
walls. The 93 bedrooms are bright and elegant in style, with facilities
including satellite TV and hairdryer. Lift to all floors.

Day One: After a pick up from home, you join our luxury touring coach and
head to Dover for the short sea crossing over to Calais. Passing through France and
Belgium you enter Germany and arrive in Boppard in the evening.
Day Two to Day Five: At leisure in Boppard with four included excursions.
Day Six: After breakfast, you make your way back through Germany and into France
for the crossing to Dover, arriving back on the Island in the evening.

Included Excursions: A day excursion into the Moselle Valley visiting the historic
market town of Cochem to include a visit to Anton Hammes wine cellar for a guided
tour and tasting.
A full day tour first crossing the Rhine by ferry to Filsen. You then drive up the east
side of the Rhine to Linz, a beautiful picturesque town situated on the banks of the
Rhine. You will have time here for lunch and sightseeing before crossing the Rhine again
by ferry to Kripp. A short drive takes you to Brohl where you board the Vulkan
Express Train. Travelling up through the Eifel Mountains passing castles and stunning
landscapes and on to Engeln where your coach will meet you for your return journey
to Boppard.
A day tour south along the west bank of the Rhine to Mainz where you cross the bridge
to the east bank. You then continue to Rudesheim, home to some of the finest wineries
in the region. Rüdesheim is a charming place with lots to see and do. The famous
Drosselgasse is a hive of activity day and night. As you wander through the cobbled
streets you can admire the traditional buildings, one being the Church which was rebuilt
after being demolished in World War 2.
A leisurely afternoon/evening cruise on the River Rhine with dinner included. We’ll be
passing wonderful views of romantic castles and picturesque towns, before the
pyrotechnics set the Rhine ablaze with colour. (Lunch included at the hotel on this day)
